Hard to explain, I just enjoyed maths more than any other subject (having a great teacher helped) so I made more of an effort with it. I did also like computer science though, and art etc. just not as much.

I don’t think we studied computer science for GCSE at my secondary school! Maths also is useful in many areas of life and never looks bad on a CV!

There are some really interesting problems in Computer Science. For me though, I want to understand computer science enough so that I can properly use it as a tool to study maths and physics.

Easy one for me to answer – I’m too old for computer studies as you know it (I left school in the last century 😜)! Also, at my school, I wasn’t able to take computer studies as well as two science subjects. I wanted to do physics and chemistry so there was no space left over for computer studies. It’s different now, though, and I’d do it if I was at school now.

My school didn’t really have “computer” studies – or anything to do with programming. I learnt at uni.

They are both massively important in Science for sure.
