I wanted to be a mathematician or computer science. But I didn’t really know what this meant. Turns out, now, I actually mostly do maths and programming but I get to work in the really interesting field of medical physics.

I wasn’t really sure, although definitely physics rather than chemistry or biology. I hadn’t even heard of medical physics when I started at university but, once I knew it existed, I realised it was the right thing for me.

Initially I thought I would end up in astrophysics. But then decided I didn’t fancy doing a PhD!
