      No :'(

Somewhere out there though, I really think there will be intelligent life. Unfortunately we’ll never contact them within my lifetime, if ever.

Not me personally. I don’t know if you’ve heard of the Drake Equation. It’s an equation which estimates the odds of finding alien life in our galaxy. No accurate answer exists yet as there are so many variables but even the most conservative estimation came out with around 10000 alien civilisations in our galaxy alone. And there are 100 billion galaxies in the universe. So why haven’t we discovered any aliens yet? Simple answer is that the universe is unimaginably vast. It would take us about 80000 years to travel to the nearest star, with current technology.

It might be a few decades, but I’m really hoping that newer bigger telescopes will help reveal much more information about planets in other solar systems. Maybe there will be a way to analyse these data to show that life exists out there.
