Everyone has different ways to revise. I personally revise best by walking around, with my notes in hand, and talking/explaining to myself! Making notes and highlighting important bits is a pretty universal tip. You may find you revise better whilst playing some music. Bach is supposed to be pretty good to have on in the background. It’s also important to allow yourself enough time. We all have to cram at times but it’s probably not the best technique. Repetition, ensuring you understand what you are learning (rather than just learning it by heart) and doing exercises on the subjects (e.g. in the case of maths) should increase your chances of doing well on tests. Enough sleep is important too so your brain can process all you’ve learned!

      Smash the past papers

What I do is get all my notes and simplify every area into a few sides of paper. Then I take all those and simplify it again. So I am left with three levels of notes, using my brain to fill in the gaps in details from the level above. Also good diagrams are critical in some areas. Then as many past papers as I can do, first with notes and then without notes.
