We asked Dan to tell us about winning I’m a Scientist, and here is what he said…

Many thanks to the students, organisers, and other scientists! The event was engaging and fun but also informing and challenging.

There were so many good questions from the students. Just when I thought I knew what to expect, I would get yet another really clever question. I found myself checking the website at all hours of the day, just to see if there was a new interesting question to think about! I really enjoyed explaining my work to a new audience and also hearing what the students thought in the live chats.

The answers from the other scientists were fantastic too. I would often go back to old questions just to see if there were any new answers to read. I enjoyed most when we would answer something in completely different ways, which happened often. Thanks to the organisers and moderators too. I always knew exactly what was going on with the event, the website was easy and fun to navigate, and the live chats all went really well.
